Publish Products on Future Date

Schedule product publishing for a future date/time per sales channel or market by editing the dynamic publicationScope columns (IsPublished / PublishedAt) and importing with DataEase.

Steps:

1. Export Products

In DataEase, create a New Export → Products. Include at minimum: id, handle, status, plus the publicationScope dynamic columns for your target channel/market (e.g., publication: Online Store / IsPublished, publication: Online Store / PublishedAt). You can filter with ProductPublicationStatus = UNPUBLISHED to target items to schedule. Run and download the file.

2. Edit the file

• Set command = UPDATE.
• Ensure status = ACTIVE for items you plan to publish.
• For each channel/market you’re scheduling, set IsPublished = TRUE and set PublishedAt to the future datetime in ISO-8601, e.g. 2025-11-05T10:00:00+01:00. If you need to unschedule, set IsPublished = FALSE or clear PublishedAt. Keep column headers exactly as exported. 

3. Import & validate

In DataEase, start a New Import, upload the file, map columns, and run Validation. Fix any invalid datetime formats or conflicts flagged in the validation file.

4. Verify

After the scheduled time, confirm the products are published to the intended channel/market. Use filters like PublishedStatus or check the storefront.

Tips

• Per-channel scheduling: You can set different PublishedAt times for each sales channel/market by using their respective publication: columns.
• Datetime format: Use full ISO-8601 with timezone (e.g., YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss±hh:mm).
• Conflicts: If a handle/ID conflicts or a date is malformed, validation will catch it before import.
