Export Shopify Inventory
Exporting up-to-date inventory manually for reporting or analysis can be time-consuming. DataEase makes it easy: create an export, apply filters, select inventory fields including per-location quantities, and download your inventory data as CSV/Excel—all in just a few steps.
🎯 Goal
Export up-to-date inventory (variant stock) to CSV/Excel, including per-location quantities, using DataEase.
📋 Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Create an Export
In DataEase, go to New Export → Products.
2. Apply Filters (Optional)
Narrow the results with:
Inventory locations: Limit results to specific locations you want to report.
Collection ID: Export only products from a chosen collection.
Other filters:
- Tag
- Vendor
- Status
out_of_stock_somewhere
3. Choose Fields
At minimum select:
Identifiers:
idvariantId(recommended)- Optionally:
handle,variantSKU,barcode
Inventory:
- Inventory quantities (dynamic per-location columns like
quantities: Warehouse A) - Optionally: total Inventory quantity
Context (optional):
titlevariantTitle/ option values
4. Run the Export and Download
Click Run Export to start the export task.
After the task completes, click Download Result File to get your exported data as CSV/Excel.
In Excel/Sheets: Filter by a specific location column (e.g., quantities: Warehouse A) or use total Inventory quantity to summarize.
📝 Important Notes
- Dynamic per-location columns appear as
quantities: {Location Name}; keep headers exactly as exported - Inventory quantity is the total stock per variant across all tracked locations
- Combine Inventory locations with Collection ID to focus the report by catalog and location simultaneously
- Need recurring reports? Use your export’s Schedule and repeat to automate delivery (optionally set a fixed filename and shareable link in settings)
🎉 That’s it!
Your inventory is now exported and ready for analysis.
