Export Orders from Shopify

Exporting Shopify orders manually for reporting, reconciliation, or migrations can be time-consuming. DataEase makes it easy: create an export, apply filters, choose the fields you need, and download your orders as CSV/Excel—all in just a few steps.

🎯 Goal

Export Shopify orders to CSV/Excel for reporting, reconciliation, or migrations using DataEase.

📋 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Create an Export

In DataEase, go to New Export → Orders.

2. Apply Filters (Optional)

Narrow the set with:

Date range:

  • Created/Updated dates

Status filters:

  • Financial status (e.g., paid, refunded)
  • Fulfillment status (unfulfilled, partial, fulfilled)

Additional filters:

  • Order tags
  • Sales channel/Market
  • Customer
  • Currency
  • Canceled/Closed flags

3. Choose Fields

Common choices include:

Identifiers & timing:

  • id
  • name (order number)
  • createdAt
  • closedAt
  • cancelledAt

Customer:

  • customerId
  • customerEmail
  • customerTags

Money & status:

  • currency
  • totalPrice
  • subTotal
  • shipping
  • taxes
  • discounts
  • financialStatus
  • fulfillmentStatus

Addresses:

Line items:

  • Titles
  • Variant IDs/SKUs
  • Quantities
  • Prices
  • Discounts

Optional:

  • Tags
  • Notes

4. Run the Export and Download

Click Run Export to start the export task.

After the task completes, click Download Result File to get your exported data as CSV/Excel. Analyze or share as needed.

📝 Important Notes

  • Use precise filters (date + status) to keep files small and faster to generate
  • For SKU-level reporting, include variantId/SKU in Line items
  • If you need recurring reports, schedule them (see below)

🔄 Schedule Recurring Order Exports (Optional)

Set up automatic exports that update the same file:

  1. In App Settings, enable “Allow downloading the file via an external link without authorization.”

  2. In the export’s Schedule and repeat, check Enable repeat and select the frequency (e.g., hourly, daily).

  3. In Result file settings, specify a fixed Filename.

  4. Start the export.

  5. Copy the result link — future scheduled runs will update the file at the same URL.

🎉 That’s it!

Your orders are now exported and ready for analysis.
